Our 4D Premium Package Scan
This is our most elaborate package for expecting parents. Document your baby’s first moves in the womb through our 4D baby scans. The 4D scan means that the scan is recorded as DVD video, as well as still images.
Soon to be parents can get their first glimpse of their baby before it is even born, displayed on our super high-quality colour widescreen TV. The sonographer will interpret the images of the 4D scan on the screen and you will have the chance to discover your baby's gender whilst at the same time settling the dispute of who your baby looks like
Should your baby move around in your womb, then you will see in real-time, it really is a magical experience that all expecting parents should witness. What's more, you will be in our plush and professional room on Harley Street to enjoy these moments. Where better than the world's number one street for clinical expertise. Our highly experienced sonographers are there to help you feel at ease, and we even use gently warmed Ultrasound Gel to help you relax and make you feel comfortable during your scan.
What is included in this package?
You will receive 3 colour images of your baby printed on high quality glossy photo paper, and a 4D DVD recording featuring the highlights of your scan, all presented in a neat presentation pack.
How do I prepare for my 4D Premium Package scan?
During the week leading up to your scan, try and drink 2 extra glasses of water each day. This will help to keep you well hydrated, and assures that there is sufficient amniotic fluid around your baby which helps with the scan. A full bladder is not necessary for this type of scan so feel free to use the toilets once you arrive at Harley Street.
Eat as normal on the day of your scan, however a heavy meal in the hour leading up to your scan is not recommend. Neither is caffeine. If your scan is first thing in the morning, do try and have breakfast before hand.
Many expecting mothers find that chocolates, sweets, fresh orange or even fizzy drinks help when trying to stimulate your baby to move, so feel free to bring some along to your appointment in case baby is sleeping. A heavy meal or caffeine is not recommend in the hour prior to your appointment.
When you arrive 10 minutes before the scan, have a walk around, this will help wake your baby up ready for the scan.
Be aware that the gender determination will be carried out in 2D as standard.
When is the best time for this scan?
You can have this scan inclusive of optional Gender Determination after 17 weeks of your pregnancy, however an ideal time is after 24 weeks as by this time your baby will have developed certain facial characteristics perfect for a 4D scan.
I do not want to know my baby's gender, can I still have this scan?
Of course, just let your sonographer know before your scan. They will assure that the genital region is not scanned.
Do you have both male and female sonographers?
You will be pleased to hear that Baby Scan Clinic do not discriminate and use only the most qualified and experienced sonographers, male and female inclusive. If you require a female sonographer due to religious reasons then do let us know at the time of your booking.
Will there be any music playing during my appointment?
Yes, the music you will hear during your appointment is a meditation and relaxation music CD made exclusively by Baby Scan Clinic. This CD album is available as part of the Harley Baby Upgrade Package.
